Five New Comics to Buy This Week

It’s Wednesday, which means we’ll all be running to the comic book store to pick up some newly printed goodies. And while we all have our sights on our favorites, here are the five comics you might want to think about buying if they are not in your pull box.

BATMAN #50

Yes, he has risen. Okay, not quite an Easter Sunday type “he has risen” but when the post Endgame Bruce Wayne has Alfred kill him so he could then be brought back to life as the old ass-kicking Bruce Wayne in order to stop Mr. Bloom and save Jim Gordon’s life. But can he get back to the old Batman in time?

SUPERMAN: LOIS AND CLARK #6

With Dan Jurgens at the helm of a Superman comic we tend to know what we are going to get. The guy has been a Superman veteran for nearly 25 years. And with this tale of the pre-Flashpoint Superman stuck in the New 52 world, battling off a new version of Hank Henshaw and Intergang, Jurgens is at his best. We continue to see the story unfold.

ALL NEW ALL DIFFERENT AVENGERS #7

Mark Waid is giving us the confrontation that nobody asked for but most everyone is probably eager to see now that it is happening: the All New All Different Avengers vs. the Uncanny Avengers. Doesn’t the cover image by Alex Ross just sell the book on its own?

STAR WARS #17

Ever since Disney bought the rights to Star Wars and merged their comic properties with Marvel it has been all-systems go in the galaxy far, far away. In issue 17, nothing seems to have slowed down, as with Han and Luke off screwing around with the Falcon, Leia is left to deal with the Rebel base under attack!

DEATHSTROKE #16

It’s been a busy couple of weeks for Slade Wilson. After popping over to Green Arrow’s monthly title for a clash with Ollie, Deathstroke is now coming face to face with the most lethal member of the Bat-Family: Red Hood. Let the bullets fly!
